BLACK HISTORY MONTH

TEACH OUR CHILDREN, THE

TRUTH ABOUT AMERICAN BLACK HISTORY, AND HOW IT WAS

TAMPERED WITH, CHANGED, OR DARED TO BE ENTERED INTO

THE PAGES OF TIME GONE BY.

WILD  BILL HICK COCK

As the parent's of a child of color, you need only to look around your community to see and understand how important culture & traditions are to certain people. The Jews would look upon it as a faith worst then death, if they were not able to pass on their culture, traditions and history to their children. The Catholics hold training & instruction classes weekly, to prepare their young on how to serve the Catholic religion and it's cultural traditions.

MOST IMPORTANT TO THIS AUTHOR:  Most black parents will recognize the name William Frederick, (aka)  "Buffalo"  Bill Cody . Cody was the man that developed the first WILD WEST SHOW, and within 22  months he produced a international Wild West Tour.  Bill Cody has received written credits in just about every history and text book from Toronto Township, Ontario Canada to the American frontier Wild West towns of the Oklahoma Territory. There are many books, stories, and movies accredited to Bill Cody.

If you were to question the same black parents, concerning the name, Bass Reeves you will find that more than half of those same parents will not recognize the name Bass Reeves. Deputy Reeves was a United states Marshal. He worked the Oklahoma territory before statehood. Some of the parents would be surprised to learn blacks were even living within the Oklahoma territory in 1901.

OUR POINT: Bill Cody was a entertainer, and showman. He made lots of money off his name, and the product he produced, (the Wild West Show) became world famous. Bill is mentioned in eight or more different venues, but most important he has been announced to the world as part of America's history. Deputy United States Marshal Bass Reeves was a lawman, a first res ponder.  A person that faced death daily, most important Bass Reeves was a man of honor. Reeves spent thousands of hours in the saddle, tracking and hunting down men wanted for murder, rape,  robbery, and a variety of other sadistic crimes.  Once he found the outlaws, he face them down with only a arrest warrant and his six shooter.  But unlike Wild Bill, Bass outstanding deeds and splendid record as a lawman, was covered over, and keep veiled from the public eye.  This was the work of the Jim Crow methods, produced by a
defeated Southern people, that was in no way going to allow a Nigger roll model become part of U.S. history.

THE FACTS: Bass Reeves was Deputy U.S. Marshal, a first res- ponder. Deputy U.S. Marshal Bass Reeves has a record of 3000 felony arrest, Marshal Reeves killed 14 white man for resisting arrest, and/or attempted murder on his life, while trying to secure the fleeing felons. Deputy U.S. Marshal Reeves even secured a felony murder warrant against his own son. One would think, with the outstanding arrest record that Reeves obtain, he would have been mention in our history books, and praised by law enforcement for ever and a day. Truth be told Jim Crow had the last words when it came to Marshal Reeves historical foot print, niggers need not apply"

SHIRLEY CHISHOLM

American Politician / Women of Honor

Shirley Anita St. Hill was born on November 30, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York, to immigrant parents from the Caribbean region. She had three younger sisters, two born within three years after St. Hill, one later. Their father, Charles Christopher St. Hill, was born in British Guyana, lived in Barbados for a while, and then arrived in the United States via Antilla, Cuba, on April 10, 1923, aboard the S.S. Munamar in New York City. Their mother, Ruby Seale, was born in Christ Church, Barbados, and arrived in New York City aboard the S.S. Pocone on March 8, 1921. Mr. St. Hill was an unskilled laborer who sometimes worked in a factory that made burlap bags. While her mother was a skilled seamstress and domestic worker who had trouble working and raising the children at the same time.  As a consequence, in November 1929 as Shirley turned five, she and her two sisters were sent to Barbados on the S.S. Vulcana to live with their maternal grandmother, Emaline Seale. There they lived on the grandmother's farm in the Vauxhall village in Christ Church, where she attended a one-room schoolhouse that took education seriously. She did not return to the United States until May 19, 1934, aboard the SS Nerissa in New York. As a result, Shirley St. Hill spoke with a recognizable West Indian accent throughout her life. In her 1970 autobiography Unbought and Unbossed, she wrote: "Years later I would know what an important gift my parents had given me by seeing to it that I had my early education in the strict, traditional, British-style schools of Barbados. If I speak and write easily now, that early education is the main reason." As a result of her time on the island, and regardless of her birth being in America, St. Hill would always consider herself a Barbadian American. Regarding the role of her grandmother, she later said, "Granny gave me strength, dignity, and love.  Beginning in 1939, Shirley St. Hill Chisholm attended Girls' High School in the Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, a highly regarded, integrated school that attracted girls from throughout Brooklyn. St. Hill earned her Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1946, where she won prizes for her debating skills. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.

St. Hill met Conrad O. Chisholm in the late 1940s. He had migrated to the U.S. from Jamaica in 1946 and later became a private investigator who specialized in negligence-based lawsuits. They married in 1949 in a large West Indian-style wedding. Chisholm taught in a nursery school while furthering her education, earning her MA in elementary education from Teachers College at Columbia University in 1952.

State legislator who me ? Mrs. Chisholm was reviewing political statistics in Feb 1965. By May 1965 she had already been honored in a "Salute to Women Doers" affair held in New York. Mrs. Chisholm was elected as a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly from 1965 to 1968, sitting in the 175th, 176th and 177th New York State Legislatures. The first time in this author’s life, I saw a true black leader. Unlike the pimp out congressman Adam Clayton Powell Jr, or the Uncle Tom's hanging around the church house getting signatures for candidate that paid the most. Mrs. Chisholm came in the door swinging and she hit the ground running, she started from zero, and work her way up. One of her early activities in the Assembly was to argue against the state's literacy test requiring English, arguing that just because a person "functions better in his native language is no sign a person is illiterate." Again this author was please to see that Mrs. Chisholm represented all the people of her district, no matter what race or creed. By early 1966 she was a leader in a push by the statewide Council of Elected Negro Democrats for black representation on key committees in the New York State Assembly.

Her successes in the legislature included getting unemployment benefits extended to domestic workers. She also sponsored the introduction of a SEEK program (Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge) to the state, which provided disadvantaged students the chance to enter college while receiving intensive remedial education. Mrs. Chisholm has accomplished an outstanding magnitude of achievements, both educational and political during her life time. She has been a credit to her race, and has performed dynamically within her community and the 12th district of Brooklyn.

As a youngster, this author can remember Mrs. Chisholm voting against the cable franchise seeking to start operations in Brooklyn. I personally feel that she should be celebrated for her vote against the cable franchise. Three out of four on her list of reasons for voting nay toward the cable agenda, are alive an kicking as problems that consumers of cable service face today. Mrs. Chisholm pointed out that a monthly fee for TV, would only cause finical problems and budget issues for families already suffering from urban blight and daily stress. She versioned people juggling their monthly bills,  just to pay for something they were already receiving for free, ... ....TV.  Mrs. Chisholm also pointed out the immoral programming. She felt that programs not rated, would be viewed by children . Not to mention the pricing procedure for the service would start off reasonable, but within 24 month, the price would increase by as much as 30%. You open an account at $79.50 month. Within 12 twelve months the price would increase to $119.99 Within 24 months the price would increase to $197.99 and so on, etc .etc  etc.

We felt that Mrs. Chisholm and Deputy Marshal Bass Reeves should be the first two people out of a list of twenty four characters, to lead off our 12 month black history lesson. Chisholm and Reeves have it, it being the distinctive qualities they both where bless with, qualities that prove them to be two of the best roll models to ever walk the planet

HISTORY'S  ANECDOTES,  &  TRUTH *

Read through these words with care, they tell a story about a race of people that contributed to America, and her greatness for two hundred or more years. This race of  people, are known as Black Americans.  Their names are often missing from the American history books. Their stories and life activities are told using folk lore, tales, stories, and song.

There is a particularly absents of data concerning Black Americans and their deeds, and service to and for the country. This specific info is almost always omitted from American middle school text books: It has been said, corrupt a young minds now, get a devoted militia later. Under the Jim Crow method and the system used by the cohorts of Jim Crow. It was deemed most important to delete any names of any and all blacks having anything to do with receiving education, voting rights, or owning property from any and all known forthcoming text attributable American history. If and when a person of color was mentioned, it seems their name was designated to the fine print zone of history's transcripts. It has been said, this mishap was due to the policies of Jim Crow politics. These stories may have been misrepresented or exempt totally from the history books within your town, county or city depending on particular days and dates.

To even mention interracial relationships, would be reason to drive a white person and their family out of town. Many love affairs ended with the non white boyfriend being lynched. Thinking about venture capital or working on a invention, even a verbal presentation of a business proposal would get you in deep trouble even in   the 1950's. It was essential to southern white members of the clan, to keep the perjury concerning (blacks being less then human), thriving and not just hearsay. Perhaps even your instructor or teacher skipped a particular lesson here and there, to keep the truth from your young impressionable minds. It is imperative the African American youth of today, learn the truth concerning American history and how it has effected their ancestors. It is important to compare the ancestor's treatment, measured against today's African American form of better ill-treatment.

We encourage today''s Black men and women to research their family roots, if necessary take a few dollar and a sample to your local lab. If he or she is lucky enough to locate a blood line family member and trace the member as far back in time as possible, then you can consider yourself as striking gold. Because Knowledge is Power! Some folks have traced there family blood line as far back as 1865 and some even earlier than the civil war. If you are lucky enough to research the life of your deceased relatives, the results of the research may enlighten, explain and perhaps provide some of the truth that has been hidden under the yoke of slavery for decades. Our youth must understand, that their ancestors trip to America in the sixteen hundreds was not a pleasure cruise. Nor was the Dutch company that funded fifty percent of the operation, intending to transport new employees for the so called "new world". At some point between M'. T V and Face Book, our youth must come to the realization, that their ancestors were KIDNAPPED, CHAINED, BEATEN, and then sold off into the massive world wide scheme of obtaining free labor for the caucasian population. Let it be understood, that the Caucasians were not the only people to use slaves, and not all slaves were of African descent.

There are reported cases of blacks owning blacks. As well as white men and women being held in servitude contracts, and service for debt reduction obligations.
The following information has been produced to highlight the surreptitious efforts of certain secret societies to avoid the truth, by the practice of deception. The black population of America and their contributions to the United States for more than 200 years has been ignored. It became normal practice to overlook the exclusion of blacks when it came to documenting the history of the United States. As an example when a black person performs a deed of service for the country or produced a gadget that provides a solution to one of mankind's outstanding dilemmas. His contribution is overlooked, or at best becomes a misnomer. Countless times throughout history the black man's creation(s), or invention(s) has been high jacked or renamed. Projects produced by American black man and women should have been protected by patents, trade marks, the law, and using the originator’s legal birth name. Not to mention providing a honest and above board transactions. Because the Jim Crow customs were country wide, state high, and city deep within America. It was not a problem if a certain Black man or women should have been documented for outstanding achievements, but were not mentioned anywhere in the text of history, nor the verbal publication known as political gossip.

History is the branch of knowledge that records and analyzes past events as the truth. Six decades have brought to light, groups of like minded fanatics, (example) the KKK, the local citizens counsel, John Burch society and many many more. The above mentioned extremist have been successful using such venues as religion, education and politics to slow down, stop or completely eliminate any and all progress achieved by educated blacks. The very efforts of black men and women that develop intellectual techniques, and problem solving methods, are in reality feared by the hood wearing, card carrying members of John Burch Society an company. These items such as, service systems, and educational methods as well as inventions that have assisted the country, and it’s populace during times of war and peace. If a caucasian male produced the same effort to manufacture similar items, similar services, plus an education methods, and not to mention an invention or two. He would surly have his name entered into the history text of that time. We might ad, the white male in that date & time, would have been assisted, by daily rejection of educated blacks trying to enter America's work force . When the subjects, items and topics were introduce by black men and women, they were automatically subject to ridicule or irrational enthusiasms, or looked upon as the ramblings of incoherent fanatics. The above mentioned assemblage,( k.k.k. & Nazi ) an their clandestine partnerships succeeded in blocking history, more times than it should have been allowed. Yet the truth comes to light, and the family members of the Klan & company have their names blacken by the efforts made by their kindred in time gone by.  Therefore we are going to name, and review some of the black protagonist’s of the 19th  century,  along with there deeds, and inventions etc etc. Each month there will be two or three persons, we feel you should meet and be made aware of their pedigreed.

HAS  BLACK  HISTORY  BEEN  MISPLACED   ?

Our mid Nov - 2018 post will display a black man, born in 1723. He was mentioned in history, but no more then a few word. Our question, has he received a be-fitting notation to match the deed of giving his life.

His name:  CRISPUS ATTUCKS,  the first Black man to be shot by the British, and the first of five Americans to be killed in the Boston Massacre, one of the first events of violence related to the American Revolution .

We have worked day and night to assemble information concerning people that may have passed on 50 to 100 years ago. Dead they may be, but they should not be over looked when it comes to history.  As a race of people, we should know our history as far back as possible. We provide the facts and information for free. Our web site is free for your review.
